Anar Mammadkhanov Honoured on the Sea Breeze Walk of Fame

On July 18, a commemorative star was laid on the Sea Breeze Walk of Fame in honour of the prominent public figure, member of parliament, and legendary captain of the KVN team “Guys from Baku” — Anar Mammadkhanov.
Anar Mammadkhanov was a champion and finalist of the KVN Major League, a laureate of several prestigious tournaments, an organiser of the first World Championship of “What? Where? When?” held in Baku, the youngest member ever elected to the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) of Azerbaijan, and the founder of the independent media portal Day.az.
The ceremony was attended by his family and loved ones — his mother Saida Ibrahimova, wife Irada Mammadkhanova, son Islam Mammadkhanov, sister Naida Mammadkhanova — as well as People’s Artist of Azerbaijan Tunzala Aghayeva, Honoured Artist Vagif Gerayzade, People’s Artist Anver Sadykhov, People’s Writer Elmira Akhundova, and Timur Weinstein, General Producer of NTV and a member of the “Guys from Baku” team.
Anar Mammadkhanov’s personalised star became the 29th on the Sea Breeze Walk of Fame.
