Rustam Ibrahimbeyov's Star Unveiled at Sea Breeze Walk of Fame

On April 22, a momentous ceremony marked the unveiling of a star dedicated to the esteemed writer, playwright, director, and producer, Rustam Ibrahimbeyov. A figure of immense significance in Azerbaijani culture, Ibragimbeyov is honored as a People’s Writer of Azerbaijan and a Honored Artist of both the Azerbaijan SSR and the Russian Federation. The event took place at the Sea Breeze Walk of Fame, an avenue that pays tribute to distinguished figures in culture and art.
Ibragimbeyov stands as a luminary among Azerbaijani creators, with accolades that span prestigious international film festivals, including Cannes, Berlin, and Venice. His celebrated film "Burnt by the Sun" received an Academy Award, while the iconic "White Sun of the Desert" remains an essential component of cosmonaut training.
The unveiling ceremony was graced by family, friends, and admirers of Rustam Ibrahimbeyov, with notable guests including Yuli Gusman, Farhad Badalbeyli, Anar Rzayev, Rasim Balayev, Elmar Mammadyarov, and Jahangir Selimkhanov.
The Sea Breeze Walk of Fame, recognized as the first and only Alley of Stars in Azerbaijan, has now dedicated a total of 26 stars to legendary figures, including Muslim Magomayev, David Foster, Vagif Mustafazade, and many others. This avenue continues to expand, welcoming new talents of worldwide renown into its ranks.
