In 2026, Baku, named “World Sports Capital”, will host a wide range of major sporting events. From May to August, Sea Breeze will be one of the season’s key venues for international competition, tournaments, and sports activities.
On May 3, the Baku Marathon will take place for the ninth time under the slogan “Win the Wind.” This year, for the first time, the marathon distance will be held over the full 42 km distance. The route will start at State Flag Square and finish at Sea Breeze. The event is expected to bring together international runners and amateurs from Europe and Asia.
From May 10 to 14, the international AZVIF Cycling Race (Baku–Khankendi) will pass through 21 cities and regions of Azerbaijan. The first two stages of the five-day race will begin at Sea Breeze, after which riders will continue across the country. Professional international teams will take part in the competition.
On May 31, Sea Breeze will host the Sea Breeze Kids Run by Bir Ecosystem — a family-oriented outdoor sports festival. Children aged 5 to 16 will complete a 1 km closed-course run within the resort city. After the race, guests will enjoy an interactive entertainment program featuring children’s activities, creative zones, and live music.
On June 1, as part of International Children’s Day, a charity program will be organized by Sea Breeze, alongside children’s sports activities at Crocus Fitness Lighthouse, including swimming competitions and a football tournament.
With the start of the summer season, Sport Beach Club will serve as a dedicated venue for seasonal sports activities. The program will include tennis, padel, and football tournaments, a children’s swimming championship, as well as a variety of beach and water sports events.
From July 3 to 13, the TODES dance intensive will take place. The lineup will feature daily training sessions, masterclasses led by TODES performers, dance competitions, quests, and evening entertainment. Participants will be provided with transfers, accommodation, meals, medical support, security, a branded T-shirt, and professional photography.
On July 11, Sea Breeze will host IBA Champions Night.
On August 15–16, the resort city will welcome the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series — an international 3x3 basketball competition featuring professional teams from around the world.
Throughout the season, additional activities will feature open cycle sessions, functional beach workouts, as well as both international and amateur padel tournaments.
Further details on event dates and programs will be announced in due course.
